Right. This is because you don't have the nouveau-firmware package
installed; without it, there is no acceleration on nv5x+ cards (ie:
GeForce 8 or newer).
This package is in multiverse, as it contains firmware extracted from
watching the binary driver initialise the card. As it's in multiverse,
I don't think we can't pull it into the default install. The X team
will need to work out precisely how to handle this.
