Ubuntu Server 10.04 i386

I cannot install Grub.

I have three 40gb IDE drives.

I partitioned each of them as follows:

1st partition: 100mb, use as raid

2nd partition: 36.5gb, use as raid

3rd parition: 1.5gb, use as raid

Then I created three raid arrays.

1st array: raid1, partitioned as ext4, used for /boot

2nd array: raid10, partitioned as ext4, used for /

3rd array: raid1, partitioned as swap

After Grub failed to install, I tried to delete the first array, and
create a new one as raid0. Again, Grub failed to install.

Finally, I deleted the first raid array, and partitioned the first
partition on the first disk as /boot. Grub installed. However, when I
boot the computer Grub will not load. I must use the installation media
and "boot from first hard disk" to boot the server.
