For those users who currently are using a toshiba p505-s8980 with an
RTL8191SE card, as I am, I have a solution that will solve the
networking issues. When booting, set acpi=off. I'm not sure why this
seems to magically fix the problem.

Once you boot with this setting, your wired will magically work. I'm
also running the 0115.2010 version of the wireless, which also now works
without any issues. Before I set the acpi=off, I was banging my head
against a wall, trying to figure out why I kept getting the BIT6 spam in
dmesg.

If it ends up working for you, you can add the flag to your
/etc/grub.d/10-linux script.

Note, my settings currently work in lucid, and i'm not sure what that
setting may have effected elsewhere.
