I also have very similar problem, this is whats happening :::I can use my p-word in terminal with no problem. I can not access-Network-Users and Groups-Synaptic Package Manager or any thing else that requires a p-word. As I have stated earlier, a strange new p-word window opens when trying to access above mentioned apps. The p-word window says the following::Enter the administrative password, then it says:: The application 'users-admin' lets you modify essential parts of your system. then the space is there for p-word, then it has a check box for Remember Password::[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gconftool --get /apps/gksu/sudo-mode false [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$
-- gksu doesn't accept/rejects password, no choice but use sudo instead on feisty https://launchpad.net/bugs/90324 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
