I'd like to confirm this bug for Karmic. Although instead of reducing
the volume it re-sets to 90% every MANUAL track change in Rhythmbox and
100% in pavcontrol. Causes a lot of distortion. If I set Pulse
volume control to 55%, distortion goes away, and Rhythmbox says its
volume is at 13%.
I'm using Rhythmbox 0.12.5.
