Hi Markus, Thanks a lot for reporting this.
The bootloader, debian-installer and ubiquity cannot make use of language packs, so translations need to be manually exported from Launchpad to the source package. The developers do take care of translations and this from time to time, but it seems the testing period coincided with a time when the latest translations have not yet made it to the package. The string itself is translatable, and translated in German and in many other languages: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/+source/gfxboot-theme- ubuntu/+pots/bootloader/de/+translate?batch=10&show=all&search=try+ubuntu I'm leaving the task open just to keep an eye on it, but I think this will simply be fixed on the next gfxboot-theme-ubuntu version where translations are exported and put in the sources. -- live cd bootscreen has untranslated "Try Ubuntu * without installing" and "Install Ubuntu *" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/527052 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
