Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
i have recently installed ubuntu 9.10 on my dual booting laptop.
when i tried to play the music files that i have in the windows element, i can
see the tracks in the music library on rythmnbox, and it indicated that it is
playing a selected track, but i hear no sound.
i have check through sound preferences and tried the synaptic package to look
for default sound cards, but with no luck.
the problem is no doubt the sound card, but where do i have to look to find an
open source alternative, or even access and use my own propriety sound card.
Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated
