Switch terminal mode and type "sudo reboot". The system prints some reboot message and finally stuck there. Broadcast message from ... The system is going down for reboot NOW! init: avahi-daemo main ... with status 255 init: tty4/5/2/3/6/1 (and cron) main process ... killed by TERM signal modem-manager: Caught signal 15, shutting down.. init: Disconnected from system bus (stop here, I can switch among tty1-7 although cannot input anything else) ===Quote start=== Doing testing for Alpha 3 on the 20100224 image, I am trying to shut down the system and it will not go down all the way. I've had the system trying to halt for 10 min. now with no further progress. The splash screen comes up, and I can switch between virtual terminal, but I cannot type anything in any of the terminals. ===Quote end=== -- dove fails to shutdown https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/527148 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
