Hmmm, I don' t think we will get a backtrace from apport. The only thing I can suggest is for Mikaell to install the gnome-mplayer-dbg package, see if he can reproduce the crash and eventually get it from him (following for instance these instructions: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace). The fact that apport failed to obtain the backtrace is suspicious though.
