IPMI has been around for years, it is also a big player on the new AdvancedTCA and MicroTCA systems. Most of the server grade system on the market support IPMI but relay on 3rd party apps to control and monitor the systems.
A patch was created several years ago to implement the ipmisensors module on the kernel, but this patch has not been added to the main source yet. I think the server branch of ubuntu will benefit from having this patch added. For more information on this patch please visit: http://bmcsensors-26.sourceforge.net/ There is a git repo available for the latest version of the patch -- Add ipmisensors module to ubuntu kernel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/329012 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
