Ubuntu 6.10 didn't even recognize the sound card (Powerbook snapper
iirc) among others and there was no easy fix for that -- so I
completely gave up on it, not even filing bug reports on 6.10 because
half of them (6.06) were immediately closed ("it's a usability issue,
so it's not important") and the other half ignored.
