Thank you for your bug report. Are you using the indicator applet there,
or just the standard notification icon? What version of libappindicator0
are you using (apt-cache policy libappindicator0).
What do you mean when you say the icon comes and goes? Has this
behaviour changed recently? Under what conditions does it happen? Is
your problem only with the extra space used?
