Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: pcmanfm
I did a minimal installation of Ubuntu with the alternate CD.
I installed lubuntu-desktop and rebooted.
I logged in, and opened pcmanfm.
I connected my USB key.
PCmanFM should have listed my device, but it didn't.
I know my key and my USB port both work.
That makes usb keys unusuable without command line. "sudo mount
/dev/sdb1 /mnt" works.
This is maybe related to hal since I know PCmanFM uses and depends on hal for
automounting devices.
Hal is installed in my computer and /etc/init.d/hal doesn't exist.
** Affects: pcmanfm (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Summary changed:
- in Lucid, automonting devices doen't work
+ in Lucid, automonting devices doen't work with pcmanfm
