I want to withdraw my earlier speculation that hibernate-disk fixes the crashing problem. It doesn't. I think I got lucky initially but over the last several weeks have crashed a lot when resuming from hibernation. Typically I get no error message --- the screen freezes as it is switching graphics modes. Today I got this (had to write it down, it didn't make it into the logs):
init[1]: segfault at 0 ip 003f8790 sp bfc70c0c error 6 in libdbus-1.so.3.4.0 [3ea000+37000] and then there were two lines, one containing "kernel panic" and one referring to "drm:intelfb_panic" -- IBM/Lenovo Laptops crash when waking up from hibernation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/350680 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
