Ok, here is the uploaded tarball with the translations and the template:

It seems that the template created by the package (in
source/po/amarok.pot in the tarball) contains the invalid messages. I've
had a quick look at the package, but I'm not very familiar with Kubuntu
packaging. How is the template created?
