Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

a) firefox thought it was playing, but all flash video froze

b) after a suspend-reboot cycle, all audio is frozen.

killing pulseaudio and allowing it to respawn does not help.

So now, for the first time since the mid '90s, I have a Linux box which
cannot play sound.

I have some of these in syslog:

Mar 1 23:10:59 noir kernel: [470252.913352] __ratelimit: 186 callbacks
suppressed
