I am continually being asked by update manager to install an important security update to Winbind. Always getting:- E: /var/cache/apt/archives/winbind_2%3a3.4.0-3ubuntu5.4_i386.deb: subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 2
I cannot install latest OpenOffice, suspect because of the same cause. This seems to be the same error as 505518, how do I overcome this? Regards.
