Ubuntu 9.10. linux-image-2.6.31-19-generic 2.6.31-19.56. Fujitsu Amilo M 7400 laptop.
I can confirm that adding the "lapic" kernel parameter works around the problem. Before adding the parameter, dummy APIC emulation was used and the CPU was running hot. With the "lapic" parameter, the warning disappeared and CPU temperature dropped considerably. The laptop runs silent again. -- WARNING: at /build/buildd/linux-2.6.31/arch/x86/kernel/apic/apic.c:247 native_apic_write_dummy+0x33/0x40() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/447852 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
