I can confirm that adding the "lapic" kernel parameter works around the
problem. Before adding the parameter, dummy APIC emulation was used and
the CPU was running hot. With the "lapic" parameter, the warning
disappeared and CPU temperature dropped considerably. The laptop runs
silent again.
