Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. If I
understand this correctly, I can confirm that updates do not increment
the Grub_Default numbers. When you have manually told grub which line to
start at boot, updates do not increment the number, and you boot an old
kernel instead of the updated kernel. Since this bug has enough
information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it
as confirmed and let them handle it from here. Thanks for taking the
