Thank you for your report. This package failure looks like being caused
by a corrupted file system. Please use the following in a terminal to
complete the removal of mousepad:
Workaround A: Remove the package and reinstall
$ sudo rm /var/lib/dpkg/info/mousepad_0.2.16-2ubuntu2_i386.deb
$ sudo apt-get remove --purge mousepad
$ sudo apt-get clean
$ sudo apt-get update
Then reinstall mousepad if you want it.
Workaround B: Finish the install when the package can't be removed
$ sudo apt-get clean
$ sudo aptitude download mousepad_0.2.16-2ubuntu2_i386.deb
$ sudo dpkg --unpack ./mousepad_0.2.16-2ubuntu2_i386.deb
$ sudo dpkg --configure mousepad
** Changed in: mousepad (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Invalid
