Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: synaptic
It would be great if Synaptic had a changelog information tab similar to
update-manager. Reason why? I like to check the changelog before
downloading updates but prefer to use Synaptic because of more options.
So currently, I open update manager, read changelog, and then open
synaptic to select the upgrades I want. You could also include the
option to turn this off, if needed.
