I can confirm this issue.
However, after running the gstreamer-properties tool and setting the
plugin to ALSA and the device to the correct one (analog out) I had no
issues with any crackling or skipping of the sounds.
I have an HP Pavilion dv4 1028-us with the STAC92HD71B7X codec. Setting
the default device to the analog output ("STAC92xx Analog") fixed this
issue.
Can anybody else give this solution a try to confirm that it works?
