In that case, please make sure that upstream fixes get imported into Launchpad! If you cannot make sure that this will be done automatically, i.e. when a new package version for the current Ubuntu development cycle is uploaded into the archive, please import the updated translations manually into Launchpad. The purpose why we do this in Launchpad is to provide translation updates, even when the application itself is not going to be updated any more for stable releases. Further more, any string changes which have been done in Ubuntu/Kubuntu, need to be translated in Launchpad, upstream won't know about them! So, please, keep translation updates in sync with upstream.
