Same problem with me. I have tried to update using sudo apte-get install
openoffice.org through a terminal it gives me the same error. I have
tried to locate the quickstarter and openoffice in system monitor to try
to end those specific processes and cannot find them running so I can't
end them. I have even tried to uninstall openoffice and then I wanted to
reinstall it with the update but got the same error message and it
wouldn't even allow me to uninstall the program. When i look at the
update manager it says that the files are not available yet. Is this
because they were uploaded to the repository but locked in order to test
and debug. (I know that in the past at least linux did this sort of
thing before releasing updates files, but not sure if that is the case).

OpenOffice.org is running right now. A running OpenOffice.org makes extension
(de-)registration not possible and it causes problems with (de-)registering
components. Please close OpenOffice.org (including an eventually running
Quickstarter).
