xf86-input-wacom is the source package for xserver-xorg-input-wacom, so it's expected to get used when filing a bug against the latter package.
Why it initially selected the "nvidia-graphics-drivers" package is odd - I could not reproduce this, using Lucid, too. Are you using edge.launchpad.net maybe?
