A problem remains: Was having considerable difficulty installing NUT. Same symptoms as above. That is:
u...@host:~$ sudo upsdrvctl start resulted in: Can't chdir to /var/run/nut: Permission denied Driver failed to start (exit status=1) After considerable difficulty I was convinced that I had compromised the installation at which time I used Synaptic to remove NUT and then re- install. Once again encountered the same issue. After much searching/surfing I discovered this bug report. After executing sudo usermod -G nut nut NUT would run. Configuration: Karmic, Belkin F6C900-UNV w/ USB interface. -- [SRU] upsd doesn't start NOT 221737 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222761 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
