I am currently running Lucid. It still prevents Xorg from starting. This is due to the wacom driver not supporting my installed touchscreen/digitizer, an N-trig device.
See line #747 of the Xorg log attached in post #1. "1b96 is not supported by linuxwacom." This error prevents Xorg from even starting. IMO, it should simply ignore the device if it does not support it, instead of preventing Xorg startup. The following thread details how to partially resolve the issue (by adding support for N-trig devices to wacom, among other improvements): http://ubuntuforums.org/printthread.php?t=1252492 -- Xorg fails to start when xserver-xorg-input-wacom is installed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/441102 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
