Binary package hint: deborphan
Hi, maybe the problem is not “deborphan”, but the handling behind the
synaptic tool:
When strating "deborphan” via the graphical interface gtkorphan,
and using the option to show "all orphaned packages, not only from the
libs-section",
then also packages are listed like the app "cheese", or firefox-plugins.
To me, this is looks like a bug (not a feature :-)).
