Marc,
your updated version of Pidgin fixed the issue with the tray icon.
However, there are still the OTR icon in the chat window and the "New
Message" icon in the buddy list which have the same issue. I have
attached screenshot in the duplicate bug report (#529375).
Please do not forgot to send your patches to upstreams if this should
really be an issue with Pidgin!
