Thanks for your report. It is only a problem with the quicksearch. It doesn't find it because the index was not rebuild with the newest package but if you leave it empty and scroll through the list of package you should find it.
I'm marking as 'wishlist', because we could rebuild the index if the dpkg status file is newer than the package cache. Thanks. ** Changed in: synaptic (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Wishlist ** Changed in: synaptic (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Summary changed: - gdebi-installed package does not show up in synaptic + dpkg installed package are not displayed in the quicksearch until the index is rebuilt ** Tags added: quicksearch -- dpkg installed package are not displayed in the quicksearch until the index is rebuilt https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/450220 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
