I would like to second Bryan Hoyt's comments that this bug is very real and not the same as other bugs that sound similar (not a device problem, kernel problem, boot problem, etc.). I have been experiencing the *exact* same symptoms:
1) Plug in usb key. 2) Key does not automount, but I/O light flashes intermittently. 3) Flood of "high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address X" and "unable to enumerate USB device on port X" messages when checking dmesg. 4) Wait between 15-60 minutes and key is mounted (although sometimes never). It is worth noting that this has only been affecting me for the past 1-2 months, before which I never had any usb connectivity problems. I do not wish to cripple my system by dropping down to "full speed" usb transfer rates, so I hope somebody has a real solution. -- Unable to enumerate usb device https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/318085 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
