Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: udev

I am using Ubuntu 9.10

After upgrading to udev version: 147~-6.1 my cpu started to show over
50% usage at all times. After running the command: sudo stop udev and
sudo start udev the cpu usage returned to normal. I have to do this
everytime I restart the computer.

Stopping and starting udev seems to work, but it is only a temporary
fix, any ideas on what is wrong?

I look in top when it is sititng at 50% and more and it does not show
anything out of the ordinary.
