Public bug reported:
As part of XOrg Proprietary Drivers testing of Nvidia drivers using
LUCID 10.4 Alpha daily build (03/07/2010), I uninstalled all NVidia
drivers using the Synaptic package manager. After reboot screen, for a
second, shown modules loading (No GUI) in terminal fashion and then the
screen goes blank. after 5-10 seconds the monitor disables as if the
system was shutdown, but the system is still active. I was not able to
get the rescue prompt either. I believe that this is not an expected
behavior and in the worst of the worst case scenarios the user should be
dropped to a terminal prompt.
I am not sure how to gather information since I can even get to any terminal
prompt.
I have attached my system information, please let me know if i can
provide any more information.
