Nothing changed on an up-to-date Lucid installation. Here are the results of testing per DebuggingKernelSuspendResume:
In single-user mode, with no_console_suspend: # setfont /usr/share/consolefonts/Uni1-VGA8.psf.gz # pm-hibernate Nothing at all before the power goes off, a normal boot (not resume) after. $ dmesg | grep -i resume [ 0.673359] PM: Resume from disk failed. $ cat /proc/cmdline BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-16-generic root=UUID=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx ro i915.powersave=0 quiet splash $ cat /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume cat: /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume: No such file or directory Testing via KernelTeam/SuspendResumeTesting now, but AFAIU that doesn't deal with hibernate, only suspend. -- [Acer AOA110] hibernate/resume failure https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/454780 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
