Laryllan, padsp is nothing more than a hack to *attempt* to get OSS apps
to work alongside PA. The way forward is to have a native PA backend
written for TS. Barring that happening in time for Lucid's release, you
can either use pasuspender or alsa-oss. (Speaking of which, what do you
mean by "alsa-oss support was removed"? It is installable for both i386
and amd64, and it appears to work locally for my admittedly limited
subset of test cases.)
At this point, you are perhaps better suited to direct your efforts to
either have a native PA backend written for TS or provide both verbose
PA log and strace and from the aoss instance.
If you must continue to use OSS, either pasuspender, alsa-oss, or osspd
is the preferred route.
