kwwii: I'm happy if the offset positioning is intentional; ideally I'm
thinking that there should be some additional visual clue/tweak, so that
it /looks/ intentional (rather than accidentally/randomly/carelessly
placed).

This would probably need to be in the form of a spacer to fill the void
between the buttons and the left-edge

Perhaps a tiny hyphen-like dash ('-') would probably do it, especially
if duplicated between the buttons and the window title.
