This didn't change anything... except that I had to remove the original 
ubuntu linux-modules-etc.
That killed my wifi even in 31-19 :-(

Well, I'm back in 31-19 now with everything fine for now.
I'll try the other suggestion posted on the bug when I'll have more time 
to do that.
