Binary package hint: gnome-shell
I cannot watch movies when using the gnome-shell, VLC plays the sound but the
image remains black.
It happens regardless of being in full screen mode or windowed.
I also tried Miro and Gnome Media player (from the PPA).
The same thing with youtube.com videos, in flash or html5 version (using
Chrome).
I'm using gnome-shell from PPA (sorry if the bug doesn't belong here),
amd64, and ATI proprietary drivers with a Radeon 2400 HD.
I can watch videos normally when using metacity with the normal gnome
panel.
