Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: oem-config

Performed an OEM install of Xubuntu amd64 on a VirtualBox VM. Install
was successful, and after reboot, system was running.

I ran the OEM-Config button on the desktop and got the message that said
"oem-config will run on the next reboot".

Rebooted the system. Instead of getting the configuration I got a plain
brown background and a mouse pointer. I hit the Enter key, and X
crashed, and there was a barely readable Python stack trace dumped to
the screen that said something about OS Error, File Not Found when
running ubiquity-dm.

So either X is not working (though it DID work fine until I tried running
oem-config) or oem-config is causing X to crash somehow.
