I've a possible fix in my PPA, in the system-tools-backends. Could you install my package from https://launchpad.net/~nalimilan/+archive/ppa/+files/system-tools-backends_2.9.2-0ubuntu1+ppa0_amd64.deb when it's ready (in about 2h), and test if that works?
