juanirala, Sorry to hear you are having problems with Ubuntu one. The error you are getting is in fact because you have non UTF-8 characters in your file names. If its crashing while you are trying to rename the files perhaps try quitting the Ubuntu One Client by right-clicking the applet and selecting Quit. Then open a Terminal (Applications > Accesories > Terminal) and run the following to quit the syncdaemon.
u1sdtool -q This will quit everything and allow you to time to rename the files. Below is a script that will help you find those files. To run it do the following. Open a Terminal and run the following two commands, one at a time. wget http://people.ubuntu.com/~duanedesign/utf8-filename-check.py python utf8-filename-check.py After you rename your files launch Ubuntu One as normal from applications > Internet > Ubuntu One If you have any more problems come back to this bug report and change the 'Status' back to 'New'. You can do that by clicking the yellow circle next to the 'Status' at the top of the page. thank you, duanedesign ** Changed in: ubuntuone-client (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- ubuntu one crash when I rename a file https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/536789 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
