Same is the case with me using 96.43.13 driver for nvidia MX4000 on ubuntu 10.04 Lucid 2. Kernel 6.32-16-generic Unable to load X-Server Display configuration page failed to query Noscanout for screen 0 and apport is showing no network connection where as my internet is working fine probably there is problem with apport also, so attaching the file generated by apport with this mail. and we should get the latest driver installed automatically just found on mfrs site they have 96.43.16 whereas synaptic has updated to 96.43.14 Thanks Rajinder
