Hi Jeremy,
  Sorry, I guess I didn't do the right thing to document the attempt at
resolution.  A person named Daniel Chen helped me address the issue.
Audio generation works now from the headphone jack and speakers.  I have
not tested the microphone lately.  I'm out of the office for the next
few days, without a mic, but will try this when back later in the week.
