Another workaround (and in my opinion an easier one):

Win7 -> Start -> Hardware & Printers -> Add Printer -> Network/Printer

- now select "The printer that I want wasn't listed" even if it's there!
- select "... by Name" and enter your cups address of the printer: 
https://<hostnameORip>:631/printers/<printername> (if it does not work, try 
http instead of https
- choose correct driver et voilĂ !
