Hey I just tried the fix under Volume rage anomalies at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingSoundProblems/KarmicCaveats#Volume%20range%20anomalies to no avail. I still have no sound from the computer's speakers, barely audible sound from headphones, and limited sound with a pair of external speakers through the headphone jack. I edited both load-module lines just as prescribed. Is there anything else that can be done?
