Hi Jeremy, Since this original msg., I've upgraded to Ubuntu 9.10, changed to using VLC rather than abacast, & no longer have the volume problem with listening to pacificradio.com. Thank you for getting back to me, though, & you can mark the problem solved, as far as I'm concerned. :-)
As for trying anything with iso images... this ol' dog has never done anything with any iso, so I don't feel confident (nor gutsy enough) to give it a try... sorry. I'm one of those fellas who loved the .exe files. So I had a heck of a time dealing with a tar.bz file for SeaMonkey 2.0.3, & getting the proper icon into the top-of-screen applications bar. Sure wish the "Ubuntu Software Center", or some similar GUI would recognize any site I go to for a file download & handle the whole set-up... start to finish....
