Current iwlagn driver should work only with appropriate microcode and it's not the one for 6000 series. At this moment iwlwifi driver in the latest 2.6.32-9 kernel (from debian sid) requres specific 6050 series microcode up to 4th API version. It should not work with 6000 microcode (and it does not). Latest kernel from git.kernel.org has no changes concerning 6050 microcode since 2.6.32, therefore it also does not really support 6050 series cards.
