Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better.
On the LiveCD all those languages (es, fr, de, pt) are installed, therefor it
is expected thet language-selector downloads the missing packages in the LiveCD
environment. However, on your installed system this should not happen, as those
languages should have been removed and only the language you have chosen at
install time should be present on your system.
So, my guess is that something went wrong during installation and the installer
wasn't able to clean up after itself.
Anyways, since many changes have been made in the meantime, could you please
test if this bug is still an issue for you with the latest development release
of Lucid Lynx?
