Hello. This bug is still visible in the following distributions, using the "Boot without installing option" cd (live?):
1) ubuntu-9.10-desktop-i386.iso md5 : 8790491bfa9d00f283ed9dd2d77b3906 ( from a magazine dvd.....) 2) Ubuntu lucid alpha 3 (10.04): lucid-desktop-i386.iso : md5: 847DF28E9DFDD3C36433E1822AB6516C http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/lucid/alpha-3/lucid-desktop-i386.iso (downloaded...) I have the same problem "....ne2k_pci module is loaded but the nic doesn't work with static or dhcp ip......." Am yet to try with : a) dapper b) edgy ( can't find it! ) or c) Jaunty. The nic driver gets loaded. But the router that is connected to the ethernet card does not get detected. (The LAN light does not light up. I have set the router to assign IP's by DHCP, but there is no ip that gets assigned ) The ethernet card is the same as the one mentioned above : rtl8029 nic [10ec:8029] and the same kernel module : ne2k_pci Can this bug be reopened? I have logs from "lucid alpha 3". Will post them if required. Thanks -ravi -- rtl8029 nic [10ec:8029] (ne2k_pci) broken https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/90899 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
