Previously had E: ttf-mscorefonts-installer: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 even back in Ubuntu 9.04 every upgrade - same thing I am a newbe, tried to research, cant yet understand a few 'workarounds' I saw posted and didnt want to do by chance. and saw "not going to be fixed for 9.04 because 9.10 exists so I upgraded to 9.10
I still get mscorefonts error notifications every single upgrade every time only occaisionally do I get asked to report problem I upgraded within past day (I been up for hours and hours - not sure how long ago but recent) then noticed a red star saying crash report and clicked on it That brought up asking me to report package ttf-mscorefonts-installer 3.0 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 the star is gone... so is my system really gonna crash I like Ubuntu overall but this continuing impending doom threatening my computer isnt making me feel too safe [email protected] Anybody thinking they can give a newbe CLEAR instructions of what to do with this is welcome to email me keeping in mind that linux language is still pretty greek to me. I still havent found a linux glossary. I use google but then get drawn off into all kinds of not clearly understood tangents that dont do zilch towards helping me fix *MY* problem which I think to be a mscorefonts related issue -- package ttf-mscorefonts-installer 3.0 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/481394 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
